The Nations Are Scattering
But the Gospel is Gathering
Missions Conference 2023
Save the date for March 4 - 5, 2023 for the upcoming Missions Conference, “The Nations are Scattering but the Gospel is Gathering.” We have several exciting events that you can attend!

Missions Morning on Saturday, March 4,
from 9:00 am - 10:30 am in the Community Life Center:
Join us for breakfast snacks, fellowship, and to hear from our supported workers: Dony St. Germain, Jorum & Evah Mugari, Stephen Murray and Jose & Anna Portillo.
Dony St. Germain serves with Mission to North America (MNA) and El Shaddai Ministries in both Winter Haven, Florida and in Haiti. Jorum & Evah Mugari serve in Zimbabwe training and discipling of church leaders. Stephen Murray currently serves as the pastor of Union Chapel in Cape Town, South Africa. Jose & Anna Portillo are church planters who are planting Vive Charlotte Church in East Charlotte. Register by here by February 28!

Combined Sunday School on March 5,
from 9:00 am - 10: 15 am in the sanctuary:
This combined Sunday School is for all adults. (Middle and high school students will meet in the lower Community Life Center.) We have the opportunity to hear from our supported workers serving in Restricted Areas, South Africa and the United States.

Morning and evening worship on Sunday, March 5:
Join us as we gather for a time of worship and to hear from our supported workers, Dony St. Germain and Stephen Murray, about what God is doing in the world! We will also have our Faith Promise collection during the morning worship service.

Faith Promise Fact:
Through Faith Promise, we support 92 supported workers/agencies in 26 countries around the globe!
What is Faith Promise and How Can You Participate?
Faith Promise is the primary means by which Christ Covenant financially supports international and domestic supported workers and church planters. We would like to help you consider how you and your family can participate in Faith Promise giving.

First, we ask that you take time to pray. Pray for our supported workers and church planters. Second, pray about how you might be able to financially give to Faith Promise either as a one-time gift or by making a monthly pledge. Consider this: if you give $10 per month to Faith Promise, it would be $120 a year. If 100 families did this - it would be $12,000 supporting missionaries and church planters across the globe. That is a major impact! Truly anything you can give above your tithe will be a blessing to those on the mission field.

Through Faith Promise, God blesses those who are supported, those whose prayers he answers by providing unexpected resources, and those who hear how God demonstrates his power to provide in beautiful ways, year after year. Ultimately those who are blessed the most are those who hear the good news and whose lives are changed for an eternity!

On Sunday, March 5, we will have a special time during our morning worship to offer our Faith Promise commitment cards with our pledges and pray that God will provide for the ministry partners we are supporting in 2023. Elementary school children can bring their Faith Promise banks during this time. We ask that you and your family begin to take time to prayerfully consider what you might give to Faith Promise. What might God supply through you to help empower our supported workers and church planters across the globe this year as they share Christ across the world?

Faith Promise pledge cards are available on the tables outside the sanctuary doors. You can also give your pledge online at christcovenant.org/faithpromise2023.

Housing for Afghan Young Mom and Her Son
Praise God for the amazing response received to the request for temporary housing for a young Afghan Mom and her one year old son. Their support and care have become a multi-church effort! How wonderful to see the Church working together as One.

Masoma and her son, Ashi, moved into the home of an East Charlotte Presbyterian Church (one of our granddaughter churches) family with four young children over the weekend. Her support team is from StoneBridge Church Community (one of our sister churches). Christ Covenant members have supplemented her care with previous housing, driving lessons and taking her to get her driver's license. Masoma has helped our Christ Covenant Afghan Refugee mission team periodically by providing translating services.
Set Free Parent's Group
We are beginning the Shattered Dreams/New Hopes curriculum . If you have a child that is struggling with gender identity, same sex attraction or pornography usage, you may consider joining the Set Free Ministry parent's group. In addition to having a safe place to process, learn and pray together, you will also be given the option of being assigned a mentoring parent couple who has been walking this journey for a while. If interested, send an email to SetFree@christcovenant.org.
Envision Capital Campaign
We are hoping to have 100% of the congregation participate in the Envision capital campaign. We are currently at 78%. It’s not too late to turn in your pledge card for the Envision capital campaign! Pledge cards and information about the many upgrades and changes we hope to accomplish through Envision can be found in the brochures and booklets in the worship center and online.
