The cost for the trip is $2500, which includes air, transportation, meals and lodging. We are asking that commitments to participate be made by March 2nd. We are working with Bill Ross, Biju Chacko and Saji Kumar to help with the details.

Upcoming JOY Senior Events:
Mac & Bob's
Our first JOY Senior Break Out is Tuesday, February 25th. If you are riding the bus, it will depart VBC at 11:00 AM. If you are driving, be at the restaurant by 11:30 AM. Either way, be sure to sign up so we can give Mac & Bob's an accurate count.
Sight & Sound Trip
Our first overnight trip is planned for April 8th - 10th. We will go to the Sight & Sound production of "Noah," tour Philadelphia, take a farmland tour, and tour Turkey Hill ice cream, where you can make your own ice cream. The deadline to sign up for this trip is Sunday, March 23rd. Details can be found at the JOY Senior table.
Wohlfahrt Haus
The JOY Seniors are going to the Wohlfahrt Haus Dinner Theater Thursday, May 1st. That seems like a long way off, but because the deadline for signing up is just over a month away and tickets are limited, we wanted you to know about this trip in advance. We will see the matinee of Mountain Music. The cost is $60 per person, which includes lunch, play, tax, and tips. The bus has limited seating (36 + driver), but you can drive. Please sign up and pay at the JOY Senior table to secure your spot. The deadline is Tuesday, April 1st. Departure is 10:00 AM.
Harrisonburg Trip
On Tuesday, March 11th the JOY Seniors will take a day trip to the Harrisonburg area. We will shop at the Shenandoah Heritage Market, have lunch at Wood's Grill Buffet, shop at the Little Debbie Factory Store and the Cheese Shop. The cost of this trip is just what you spend. Bible Reading Plan
We've covered so much ground this week in our Bible reading plan. We've witnessed the tenth plague on the Egyptians, death. We've seen God rescue his people from that plague as he instituted the Passover, which is a critical moment in Israelite history. The remembrance of this singular event has been passed down from one generation to another for thousands of years; many Jews still celebrate the Passover today. We've watched the Israelites follow God through the wilderness, being fearful and angry about the lack of food and water; and we've seen God's provision. We've witnessed the wisdom of Jethro in advising his son-in-law, Moses, to divide up the tasks of judging this people. And we've seen Joshua and Moses wage war against the Amalekites.
What is your favorite part? Or what stands out to you as a lesson that we can learn from today? Please share your thoughts in our Bible Reading Plan FB group page. Just click here and ask to join. Happy reading!

Thank you for the beautiful peace lily, prayers, calls, cards, and visits at the time of Evelyn's passing. Her church family meant so much to her. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers, as we are going to really miss her.

Many thanks to Travis, VBC, the Dorcas Sunday School class, friends and neighbors for your kind words, calls, emails, visits, texts, plant, and food during my recent cancer surgery. Your support and especially your prayers helped so much! Susan Jones has been such an encourager. Please continue to pray as I start radiation in the future.
Love, Linda Kingery
