One of the current trends in bathroom remodels is incorporating natural elements such as wood, stone, and plants to create a spa-like atmosphere. Large walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads and freestanding tubs are also popular choices. Additionally, people are opting for more storage solutions to keep their bathrooms clutter-free, and choosing neutral color palettes with pops of color for accents. Smart technology is also becoming more prevalent, with features such as voice-activated lighting and temperature control.
To take the trend of incorporating natural elements to the next level, some homeowners are adding greenery to their bathrooms. Plants like aloe vera, bamboo, and ferns are great choices for bathrooms because they thrive in high humidity environments. Not only do they add a touch of nature, but they also help purify the air. Another popular trend is installing heated floors, which are especially nice during the colder months. To add a touch of luxury, some homeowners are also adding a built-in sound system to their bathrooms, allowing them to enjoy their favorite music or podcasts while they get ready in the morning. Finally, for those who want to conserve water, low-flow toilets and faucets are a great option to consider.
“The Past is behind us; the Future lies ahead.”
Sue and I are delighted to announce that the torch has been passed to a new Lake Country ownership team that will lead us into the future. The Olympic flame is said to symbolize the light of spirit, knowledge, and life. The transfer of the torch from runner to runner, acknowledges collective human achievements as they spread goodwill to all.
So, with that in mind, it is Sue’s and my great honor to make the handoff to Lake Country Builders new owners. Our son Patrick Jacobson is now President and will partner with our Vice President’s, Renee Aldecocea and Rob Aldecocea. Their experience, commitment and loyalty to Lake Country integrates with their personal holistic ethics which will provide the companies cultural foundation support.
In 1918, Illustrator Gerrit a Beneker said it best in his poster at the conclusion of World War 1.“The past is behind us, the future is ahead. Let us all strive to make the future better and brighter than the past ever was”.
Although the past is behind us , we are sure it will never be forgotten because it brought us to where we are and who we are. A quick read of those years defines a labor force built on hard work and loyalty. The preface defines each employee’s individual contribution to success, aimed at the wellbeing of all. Each chapter written with passion, and the commitment do whatever it takes to make a business and stay in business. The epigraph poem speaks to our employee’s children that we have helped to support and school, and who will change the world. The final chapters are left for the future, and will be crafted by our new authors.

“Don’t let yesterday take up too much of today.”
( Native American Proverb)

Trending | Kohler Purist Suspended Faucet
Kohler presents the Purist Suspend Kitchen Faucet, which pushes the boundaries of traditional kitchen faucet design by mounting from the ceiling. The faucet’s hose is mounted on the ceiling with a precise pivoting arm that can be adjusted to any preferred hanging height for 8- to 10-foot ceilings and stays at the previous height. A swing arm has 180 degrees of rotation for convenient placement over the sink. A weighted spray head helps eliminate excess swaying or splashing.
