In this edition of "Your Redwood", we invite you to:

We are so very grateful to The Redwood community of donors and volunteers who amaze us with their generosity – during the holiday season and all year round!  

You will be happy to hear that the women and children living in the shelter enjoyed holiday crafting, a festive feast of turkey with all the trimmings, a joyful sing-along and a spirited ukulele concert…and yes, there was a visit from Santa who arrived with a sack full of gifts to delight all the residents.

Santa Redwood!

While The Redwood provides safety for survivors of abuse in our 35-bed shelter, we know many more living in the community need help.

iDetermine.ca is The Redwood’s online platform that provides interactive tools survivors can use to assess the dangers they may be facing and make decisions about how to leave or cope with their relationship more safely. Crisis responders are available to help around the clock, through live chat or text.

While we wish the services of iDetermine.ca were not needed, last year The Redwood’s Crisis Responders connected with over 1,500 texters and chatters.  

We invite you to join us to learn more about this life-saving resource that you may need to help a friend, family member, neighbour, co-worker or client who is experiencing abuse. Perhaps you may need it yourself one day.
