This is a special-edition email sent to Lake Shamineau Lake Improvement District (LSLID) newsletter subscribers to provide a couple of updates.

Inspectors Needed
The LSLID is looking for responsible adults to serve as Inspectors at Lake Shamineau boat landings to educate boat launch users about the Cleaning and Draining of boats and trailers as well as disposition of used bait. The program runs from May 15th (opening fishing) through September 4th (Labor Day). Inspectors typically work 4 to 6 hour shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Requirements: must be 18 years of age, and must attend a paid ($20/hour) 3 hour Aquatic Invasive Species Training (in person or online) with a DNR Regional Watercraft Inspection Supervisor.  Interested applicants should contact Bob Koll at
218-296-2933.

High-Water Project Update
The High-Water Outlet Project has reached an important milestone. The LID has signed agreements with all landowners for the use of their property required for the route. Houston engineering is working on finalizing the project design and finalizing agency approvals. The LSLID Board of Directors will be scheduling a 429 Assessment Hearing and all Lake Shamineau Property Owners will receive notice of the hearing. Note that the mailings will be sent to the mailing address on record with Morrison County. A High-Water Project Update document has been posted on the LSLID website at https://LakeShamineauLID.org/high-water-project

Thank you,
