Thank you for loving your planet and your parks!
Thanks to the generosity of caring donors like yourself, we were able to raise $34,020.65, surpassing our goal of $30,000 for our parks in honor of Earth Month! We want to thank you for making an impact on our planet -- whether that be through a donation, by volunteering on a project or visiting one of your county parks, you helped make a difference this Earth Month! Thank you to North Park lovers Karen and Shawn Hanlon for matching all donations this April. Their generosity doubled your impact in your favorite park.
The success of this campaign provides crucial funds for important projects that improve your parks. With $34,020.65, the Allegheny County Parks Foundation has the resources to now plant 12 acres of new pollinator meadows which not only provide a beautiful view but attract important pollinators that have been declining; or restore 10 acres of canopy gap tree plantings essential to maintaining the health and vitality of our parks and region by removing air pollutants and supplying wildlife habitats; or construct up to 1/3 mile of a compacted earth trail promoting health and wellness, both physical and mental.
You can read more about our Earth Day Campaign in a letter from our Executive Director, Joey-Linn Ulrich on our May blog post!
P.S. Missed the campaign? It's never too late to show your compassion for your parks. Donate today.

Community input is needed on the proposed trail connection between South Park & White Oak Park
Creating trail connections between two Allegheny County Parks - South Park and White Oak Park - is possible but we need your help! The Allegheny County Parks Foundation, in partnership with Allegheny County, the municipalities of Clairton, Glassport, Jefferson Hills, McKeesport, South Park, White Oak and local trail groups, is leading the way to inter-connect existing portions of the Montour Trail, Steel Valley Trail and the Great Allegheny Passage. This effort focuses on introducing and creating realistic ways to combine existing assets created over the years while offering improved public safety, convenience and a quality experience on dedicated off-road and on-road investments. Take the brief survey!
