Film & Event Info

Hello Eric,

Thank you for helping make November's documentary, "s-yéwyáw Awaken" such a great success! The show sold out and we had a fantastic engaging and informative panel. The panel audience Q&A audio recording is on the film's Act Up! page on our website HERE!

Our December 19th documentary is "We Are All in This Together", a film by Daniel Troia chronicling his cross-country bicycle journey with no food, no money and the hope of gaining a better understanding of the human connection. We will have representatives from the Braver Angels Southern Willamette Valley Alliance leading the panel discussion after the film. More information, links to the trailer and ticket purchase are below, and on our website.

We'll be welcoming in the New Year with the documentary "Eating For Tomorrow" on January 16th. "Eating For Tomorrow" is a powerful and brilliantly produced documentary that exposes the devastating environmental impact of our current food systems. More information about the film, trailer and ticketing can be found on our website.

December 19th "We Are All in This Together"

Just like a lot of Americans, Daniel Troia had been feeling all of the tension in the country, which made him question just how connected we really are anymore. Determined to find out if we truly are as divided as it seems, he decides to set off on a cross-country bicycle journey with no food, no money and the hope of gaining a better understanding of the human connection.

Equipped with hidden camera glasses and a sign that says, “Ran out of food. Anything helps”, Daniel listens to stories from the people that lend a helping hand and learns that those who face the most adversity in their lives, often have the most to give.

After spending 7 months on the road and meeting a diverse group of kind strangers, his perspective on the country changes and he realizes that there is much more that brings us together, than what separates us.

Braver Angels Southern Willamette Valley Alliance

Braver Angels is leading the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide for the good of our democratic republic.

Coming out of the election, we’re bringing together “We the People” to find a hopeful alternative to toxic politics.

The American Hope campaign is equipping Americans across the political spectrum to work together and demand the same of politicians from both parties.

The Challenge We Face

As we separate into groups that increasingly do not even know, or interact with, people of differing opinions, we lose trust in our institutions, eroding the ability to govern ourselves and lowering the caliber of citizenship.

This growing trend coarsens public debate, produces policy gridlock, shrinks our capacity for goodwill, and harms our family and personal relationships. Effective self government depends precisely on what this type of polarization destroys.

We believe the American Experiment can survive and thrive for every American who contributes to the effort. Where we go from here is up to us.

This is the driving force that fuels our mission:

"Bringing Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic."
