Trusting God's Provision in 2025

Greetings Ministry Partners,

Despite the challenges at the end of 2024 and policy changes that have shifted financial support for teachers, I firmly believe that God will provide a solution. I am grateful that in January, CCI Indonesia was able to open two new classes and host two seminars on God's Financial Principles.

Additionally, after a year of searching for storage space for CCI's book inventory, God has provided a neighbor willing to rent his house at a low cost. All of this is a testament to His faithfulness. With full trust in God's provision, my CCI Indonesia family and I step into 2025 with confidence and gratitude.

We appreciate your prayers and support.

Classes

I am teaching the Pelita Kasih class (Book 7) on church discipline; participants shared concerns about churches avoiding discipline. Musa noted that his church tolerates sin, fearing members will leave if disciplined. Renny observed that many pastors lead emotionally, hesitant to confront sin to avoid disappointing members.

In the Badak class in Makassar on the Old Testament Survey (Book 2), The participants gained a clearer understanding of the Bible chronologically and canonically. Meidi became more interested in deeper Bible study, and Yohanis realized that knowing a book's background and chronology helps him preach within context.

In early January, two classes in Makassar suggested that a time of fellowship be held so that participants in the two classes could meet and strengthen each other through stories and testimonies about the impact of learning.

A new class at Mero Café in Makassar began, covering the power and purpose of God's Word. This topic motivated participants to make time for Bible study. Brother Je admitted that his engagement with the Bible was minimal despite being active in church, but this class has inspired him to study God's Word more deeply.

God’s Financial Principles Seminars

Thank God for His help in making the seminar on God's Financial Principles possible! Although 10 prospective participants initially planned to attend, only 4 were present. However, this did not diminish my enthusiasm or joy in delivering the material.

After the seminar, some participants shared their impressions:

Stev mentioned that he learned many new financial principles he had never heard before. He was especially grateful for the insights on managing finances wisely. As someone who is not yet married, he found this learning invaluable, equipping him to handle finances responsibly in the future according to biblical principles.

Mira expressed her gratitude for attending the seminar with her husband. She shared that they had previously disagreed on certain aspects of financial management, but through this seminar, they found answers that will help them manage their family's finances more effectively moving forward.

Another God's Financial Principles seminar was held with five participants—four of whom were CCI students, while one worked at the village office. Here are some of their responses:

Katarina Lali Pora: "I am grateful for the opportunity to attend this seminar and learn how to manage finances well, with practical examples provided by the teacher."

Margaretha B. Dama: "A key takeaway from this seminar was learning how to manage personal finances and develop a sense of contentment. I suggest that this seminar be held more than once a year and also be conducted in churches, as these teachings are essential for both pastors and congregations."

Charles Pora Tana: "This seminar taught me how to manage my finances according to God's principles. After attending, I realized the mistakes I have made in handling my finances and feel the need to repent."

Staff Update

Pastor Daniel Padang, the Mamasa Area Coordinator:

I am grateful to God for His grace and favor that have allowed my wife, our children, and me to enter the New Year 2025 in good health. Since joining CCI, we have experienced many things and learned to walk by relying on Him. As a coordinator, I face many challenges, but I am thankful that these challenges have helped me grow as a leader, guiding people with diverse backgrounds and personalities. Through CCI, I have also had the privilege of connecting with many pastors and servants of God from various churches, enriching my journey in ministry. Last month, I was able to visit classes and teach. It was a successful month of ministry.

Oktavianus Bulu Mila, Sumba Area Coordinator:

All praise and honor are only for the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by His grace, has accompanied me through January 2025 with joy. I believe all this is because of His kindness, which I cannot repay. Although I had to face many challenges at the beginning of this year, with His help, I could get through it all. God makes everything good.

Teaching in the Dassa Elu I class covered Book 8, Principles and Teaching Methods. Participants gained a deeper understanding that biblical teaching is not just about increasing knowledge but about transforming lives. They also realized that effective teaching must rely on the Holy Spirit rather than personal ability.

In the Dassa Elu II class, students studied Book 3, New Testament Survey. They learned about the significance of the inter-covenant period and the purpose of genealogies in Scripture. Many had previously viewed genealogies as mere additions, but they now see how Matthew 1:10-17 highlights God’s grace and His faithfulness in fulfilling His promises, particularly regarding the Savior.

In the Kowaka class, participants studied Book 4 on biblical messages. Mrs. Ester Wanda realized that sound teaching is crucial for protecting the congregation from false doctrine. Meanwhile, Mrs. Meriana Laba found the truth-seeking exercise invaluable for accurately interpreting biblical texts. All participants requested more guidance to grasp the material fully.

A new class, Waihola, was also opened, studying Book 1, Bible Methods and Interpretation Rules. Participants are still adjusting to the material but have committed to being more engaged in future lessons.

"My name is Ester Wanda, a participant in the Kowaka class. I am grateful to have studied this material, especially in Book 4 on biblical messages. In this lesson material, I gained a new understanding that there is no other way to protect the congregation from false teachings than by providing correct teachings."
