Talent EVV 2024 Annual Report

The first Talent EVV Annual Report was produced in 2023 to better tell the regional story of the collaborative work being accomplished by businesses, nonprofits, elected officials, and residents across the Evansville Region. That report highlighted numerous milestones and achievements, showcasing the collective efforts to grow and strengthen the region.

Building on that foundation, the 2024 Talent EVV Annual Report takes a more intentional approach by elevating key strategic initiatives and programs within each of the four focus areas: Population Growth, Thriving Workforce, Live Well, and Upward Mobility.

This refined approach provides readers with a deeper understanding of how this broad community vision—to make the Evansville Region a nationally recognized place to call home—is directly impacting and improving the everyday lives of families and individuals who live and work here.

The 2024 report serves as both a progress update and an inspiration for continued collaboration, ensuring that Talent EVV remains a catalyst for transformational change across the region.

Hospitality a la Carte

Several times a week, volunteers make rounds through hospital hallways with a Happy Wheels Cart stocked with complimentary snacks, toiletries, reading material as well as small toys and crafts for patients and siblings. Happy Wheels Carts are located at Baptist Health Deaconess Madisonville, The Women’s Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Memorial Hospital & Health Care Center, St. Vincent Hospital for Women & Children, and Deaconess Henderson.

COMING SOON: The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a fully-equipped medical clinic on wheels that will deliver free or reimbursed care to underserved women of child-bearing age, pregnant women, postpartum mothers, and infants up to 12 months in their own neighborhoods. The Care Mobile will eliminate many of the barriers that underserved families face in accessing healthcare services while raising awareness for healthy lifestyles and reducing reliance on emergency rooms for care. The program is expected to launch in spring 2025.

Each year, our charity serves thousands of children, parents, extended family members, and caregivers. But we can’t do it without you! There are many ways to help families stay close to a child receiving life-saving medical care and provide them with a supportive "home away from home."

Volunteer

One of the most popular ways volunteers help our families is through our Meals of Love program. When families are going through difficult times, there’s nothing like the comfort of a home-cooked meal to come home to at the end of longs days in the hospital setting. The Meals of Love program is also a great way for groups – friend groups, work groups, church groups, civic groups – to give back while at the same time spending time together.

Give

Round-Up for RMHC is an easy way to make a big difference in the lives of families with sick or injured children. By rounding up your total to the nearest dollar at McDonald’s locations, you’re helping provide essential services like a place to stay, meals, and support for families when their child needs medical care. Funds donated through the Round-Up program stay local!

Thank you for supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Ohio Valley!
