Here in the US, it's the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday. We are re-emerging from this long weekend of over-indulgence to slowly find our way back to work. This strikes me as the perfect time for two tutorials on finding and renaming media clips in Final Cut and Premiere. (See how smooth that transition was? Whew...)

As you might imagine, there wasn't a lot going on this past week.

Resound is a software company that automates podcast editing using AI. This cloud-based tool removes silences, removes ums and ahs, finds frequently repeated words and more. A free trial is available. However, read their Privacy Statement carefully as they collect a lot of data and do not seem to provide a secure service.

Amazon Tips

Webinars return next week - December 6 - and I'm still looking for topics to cover. Please email your ideas to give me something to work with.

Last week I showed how to change the audio sync for a multicam clip in Final Cut Pro. At that time a reader wrote asking why I didn't simply use Open Clip. Well, ah, because I didn't think of it, is the answer. So, this week, I have a tutorial showing three different ways to sync out-of-sync clips. And, yup, there is absolutely a "best way" to do this.

As we begin the stretch run to the end-of-year holidays, we still have two upgrades from Apple to anticipate: macOS 14.2 and Final Cut Pro. (Here's Apple's FCP press release.) Mostly, though, everyone else is hunkering down to meet the sales demands of the season.

Revenue is a wonderful thing - especially for smaller developers. As you think about your holiday spending, give a thought to those smaller companies whose products you depend upon. They can use your support: Recommend them to friends, buy their upgrades and remind them how much you appreciate their work. Compliments - and sales - are always welcome.

Until next Monday, stay healthy, stay hopeful and edit well.
