For the second time in two months, the processing times have come down again, bringing them almost back to the prepandemic norms of 6 to 8 weeks. Last month, the wait times came down to between 8 to 11 weeks for routine service and 5 to 7 weeks for expedited service.

TSA To Launch 1st Self-Service Security Option In January
Travelers with TSA PreCheck eligibility will soon be able to select a self-service screening option to speed up the security process. A prototype system will be trialed next month in Las Vegas.
Alaska Airlines Agrees to Acquire Hawaiian Airlines in $1.9B Deal
Alaska Airlines has agreed to acquire Hawaiian Airlines in a deal valued at $1.9 billion, including $18 per share in cash, the carriers announced Sunday. Each airline will retain its customer-facing brand, while integrating into a single operating platform "behind the curtain," Alaska CEO Ben Minicucci said during a Sunday investor call.
