Happy April, RSPA Families!
As spring blossoms around us, it’s a wonderful time to focus on student growth and success. This month, our teachers strive to provide the best instruction to our scholars to prepare them for End-of-Year (EOY) assessments, STAAR, and the next grade level. Our PreK-2nd grade teachers will continuously focus on our growth in our scholars’ reading levels and numeracy skills while our 3rd-8th grade teachers prepare for the upcoming STAAR assessments.
This STAAR testing season, we are Racing to the STAAR! Our scholars will participate in several activities that will help prepare them for the STAAR test. Teachers have prepared a strategic review that will target needed skills before testing. Our scholars can also practice Progress Learning at home.
Join us on April 10th in the RSPA Raceway as we have our STAAR Academic Night for all grade levels. All 3rd-8th grade parents can attend sessions with teachers and learn how you can help scholars at home. PreK-2nd grade parents will engage in fun learning games to reinforce skills your scholar is learning in the classroom.
PreK-2nd grade scholars will attend various field experiences this month, so please check their folders for permission slips. Please contact your scholar's teacher if you want to volunteer for the field experience.
Attendance matters and is a vital part of your scholar's success. Our motto is 98% is great. Our classes will compete in The Great Attendance Race to help scholars keep their attendance on track. We’re rewarding the class with the highest attendance in April with a class party, so let's see which grade level will win!
