As promised, we will be providing weekly boatyard conditions updates throughout the winter months to help keep our storage customers abreast.
Daily low temperatures in Rock Hall this week have been in the mid-30s, with highs reaching the upper 50s. Windy conditions are expected today and into the weekend.
As stated in our winter storage policy, all boats and docks are inspected daily at both Haven Harbour Marina and Haven Harbour South to ensure that vessels are in proper care and condition.
We remind our storage customers that while checking on your vessel, do not venture out on a pier or dock alone. Hidden ice or other slick surfaces may throw patrons off balance, taking you for a plunge without anyone near to assist in your rescue. In addition, water that has accumulated on covers may freeze, making for a heavy and hazardous area of solid ice. Should you have sizable accumulation of ice on your cover, we recommend contacting our staff for removal, or provide assistance to you for safe removal – free of charge.
Lastly, unoccupied stored boats throughout the winter months must be disconnected from shore power during non-business hours. Marina staff will be cycling breakers daily for wet-stored vessels. Boats stored with us are not permitted to remain connected 24/7 for various safety reasons.
Please contact us with any questions, comments or concerns regarding the winter storage of your vessel(s). Local weather conditions may be accessed around the clock via our online weather station at havenharbour.com/weather.
