Help keep each other safe on the way

to school

Many families walk or roll to school. Remember to stop for them and park at least 20 feet from any intersection. This helps families appear more visible to drivers.

Every intersection is a crosswalk, even if there are no painted lines or curb ramps. Drivers must stop for people walking, biking, or rolling who are trying to cross at a crosswalk. It’s the law.

Check out the City of Tacoma's Walk & Roll safety videos to jump start your child’s safety skills.
