The Henderson County Chamber of Commerce is lead each year by our Board of Directors. Composed of dedicated volunteers, these individuals help ensure the success of the Chamber through their leadership. The Board directs the operations and programs of the Chamber, ensuring that our current work is of benefit to our member businesses. Moreover, they actively anticipate the future needs of our members, strategizing and implementing programs and initiatives. We are very close to breaking ground on the 7^th Avenue Streetscape. We had a progress meeting as well as a communications planning meeting regarding the streetscape on Wednesday.

The following is the expected timeline:

Beginning the week of January 29 - Construction mobilization to begin, fencing, street closures to start at this time or shortly thereafter.

Underground work to take place from Grove to Maple during this time period. Vehicular access will not be available from 7^th Avenue. A detour route will be published soon.

May - Underground work is expected to be completed to allow for vehicular access. Note that there are many extraneous factors to this that can cause delays (weather, etc) There may continue to be work from Locust to Maple, and at the intersection of Maple and 7th, however this is likely to have some periods of open/closure rather than 24/7.

May - October - finalizing sidewalk / landscaping. Work will still be occurring, however the street will be opened back up (note there may be some periodic road closures necessary during this timeframe). 

Harrison Sloop is the project manager with Harper Construction. He will be on site during the construction, and the team at Harper will be coming around in the coming weeks and throughout construction.
