Dear SFX Families,
As we grieve the loss of our beloved art teacher, teammate, and friend Mrs. Laura McGhee, we have decided to cancel school on Thursday, March 2nd so that our staff and families that choose to, may attend the visitation and funeral for Mrs. McGhee.
The teachers have spent time sharing memories with their homerooms and in some classes students wrote about or drew pictures about their memories of Mrs. McGhee. Click on the following link for the Guide for Morning Mtg - McGhee, which teachers were given to help with their morning meeting discussions. We had counselors on site to speak with any staff member or child who wanted to speak with them. We also had a counselor to help support Mrs. Dwyer in the art room.
If you feel your child needs to talk with someone, please do not hesitate to reach out and we will get a counselor back on site.
