Welcome Fr. Ryan this Sunday
Guest Celebrant
Resurrection warmly welcomes Fr. Ryan Wiksell as our guest celebrant this Sunday.

Ryan was raised Pentecostal/Charistmatic, first in Oklahoma, and later in Kansas City. A personal call to ministry led him to study music and theology at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. Doors were then opened for him to serve in various Southern Baptist churches, as he held positions of music leadership and supporting roles in communications and the arts.

Ryan married Christina in 2003, and shortly thereafter they pursued a call to plant a grassroots independent church in downtown Springfield, called The Front Porch. After this effort drew to a close in 2011, they sought out a new spiritual family, which they found in Christ Episcopal Church in Springfield. This parish supported them strongly as they became parents to twins Asher and Anya in 2015, and as they began their seminary journey in 2018.

Ryan received his Master of Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary in 2021, and is now serving as a priest in the Diocese of West Missouri.
Accepting Applications for our 5th Rector
Daily Prayer for the Search Committee
The Search Committee and Vestry of the Church of the Resurrection asks for your daily prayers as we begin the next phase of the search process - accepting applications. We believe God has already chosen who will be our next rector, and that individual is simply discerning the call. We pray that person will hear God’s voice and be lead to Resurrection.

Almighty God, giver of every good gift: Look graciously on your Church, and so guide the minds of those who shall choose the next Rector of Episcopal Church of the Resurrection, that we may receive a faithful pastor, who will care for and love us and equip us for our various ministries; through Jesus Christ out Lord. Amen.
