Right from the start, Tucson newcomer Caleb Grady pushed the pace. In the photo above, he's coming down the steep hill by the historic ranch house on route to victory in 20:38.
Curtis Cornelius and Nigel Gruff ran together for most of the race, with Nigel outrunning Curtis over the final half mile to claim second overall in 21:23, with Curtis six seconds back.
Melanie Zebrat cruised to the women's victory in 22:51. Pictured below with her first place bucket of cheese puffs and her Running Shop gift card, Zebrat ran for Team RUN TMC.
Second place woman Kristina Krishna finished the hilly course in 24:54, a few steps ahead of Tatum Abbruscato.
Thanks to the Running Shop for providing gift certificates to the top overall runners and the top three in age groups U-19 and 80+. If you won an award but did not receive your gift card at the post-race awards ceremony, please visit the Running Shop to pick up your card.
If we made a mistake and you picked up the incorrect age group award, please visit the Running Shop at 3055 North Campbell Avenue.

The TMC Meet Me Downtown Night Run and Festival of Miles is fun way to kick off hot summer running in Tucson! The downtown vibe comes alive especially when combined with running endorphins, bands, a beer garden, and, we hope, free ice cream!
The TMC Meet Me Downtown 5k and Festival of Miles is on the Southern Arizona Roadrunners annual calendar, part of the Running Shop Grand Prix, and includes a SAR FitKidz Mile.
