Leachate Pump Motors
The demands presented by landfill leachate require special consideration when selecting pumps that deliver on both performance and longevity.

And although there are water well pumps that can last for years, they are not suitable for extensive use in landfills.

EPG uses environmental motors for our SurePump™ line of landfill pumps. These pumps are fortified with materials more suited for the harsh conditions of a leachate extraction system.

Of course these motors cost a little more than a standard water well motor so be certain you're getting what you pay for!
EPG SurePump landfill pumps are powered by environmental motors.
According to some manufacturers, in the case of the environmental motors, Nitrile rubber parts used in their water well motor designs are replaced with parts made of Viton™. Studies identify several advantages of one material over the other and should be considered when choosing the correct motor for a given application.
"Nitrile rubber is resistant to petroleum oils, aliphatic hydrocarbon, hydraulic fluids, and water."

"Viton can resist harsh chemicals that could affect and damage a Nitrile seal. Viton is resistant to acids, oils, gasses, silicon fluids, aromatic gasses, and halogenated hydrocarbons."

Multi-Stage Pump Ends
A "Best in Class" pump motor deserves a "Best in Class" pump end. EPG SurePump™ landfill pumps feature stainless steel construction and E-Glide™ seals and bearings for extended service in both vertical, and most importantly, horizontal applications.

These are just a few the reasons they are the most recommended and relied upon submersible pumps in the landfill industry.
The EPG SurePump shines thanks to multi-stage pump ends featuring superior proprietary materials.
* E-Glide™ seals and bearings are a proprietary engineered heat and wear resistant material. Factory and field testing has shown that the E-Glide bearings outlast Teflon** and rubber bearings 4 to 1.

** Teflon is a registered trademark of DuPont.
The SurePump Wheeled Sump Drainer is protected by U.S. patent #4,966,534 and #4,992,030. Additional patents pending.
