In case you missed the last newsletter, the next Storm Adventure Race will take place at Island Lake Conservation Area on May 25th, 2024! Registration is now open with early fees in effect until this Thursday January 11th, 2024. Sign up soon and save!

Island Lake is near Orangeville, Ontario and sits atop the Oak Ridges Moraine. It serves as the headwaters of the Credit River flowing south, as well as the Nottawasaga River flowing north. Also next door is Hockley Valley, With the delayed onset of winter we've had great fun exploring the many trails, forests, valleys, lakes and escarpment terrain in preparation for this springs event! While the "Short" course will brush the edge of the valley tackling a few small hills, the "Long" and "Advanced" courses can expect some longer roaring descents and grinding climbs back up. Rest assured all that effort will be rewarded with stunning views of the surrounding countryside!

Team-Based Running with Navigation:

DONTGETLOST Snowshoe Raid

Feb 3, 2024

Oro-Medonte, ON

A 3-hour snowshoe race for teams of two with navigation by map and compass. Competitors travel on and off-trail to checkpoints located throughout escarpment studded forests and parklands. Go as hard or as easy as you like! Checkpoints (CPs) are rated on their difficulty and are assigned different point values. The more CP's and points collected the higher you'll rank!

DONTGETLOST Raid The Rib Adventure Run

The Niagara Escarpment (aka the Giant's Rib) was a formidable physical barrier to early explorers in Ontario. Steep cliffs, rocky ground, and large creeks also made navigation difficult for these adventurers. The Raid the Rib Adventure Run takes place on the Niagara Escarpment so participants can expect lots of technical running and some interesting navigational challenges.

Challenge The Shield Adventure Run

The 2nd annual Challenge the Shield Adventure Run is an awe-inspiring 2-hour or 6-hour wilderness endurance challenge on the rugged Canadian Shield. This Spring CLASSIC is the “O-G” epic 8 and is a must-do for spring riding enthusiasts! Mansfield is again the backdrop for this perennial kick-off to Ontario’s summer relay mtb events. Mansfield is the perfect host, with a great location, sandy soils and awesome on-site cabin rentals and camping options!
