BUSINESS@BREAKFAST: LEGISLATIVE UPDATE |

Join us for Business@Breakfast! We will be hosting a public forum to learn about the recent legislative session and hear from Senator Frank Ruff, Delegate Danny Marshall, and Delegate Les Adams. We will also hear an update from the Attorney General's Office Community Liaison, Matthew Hall.
We are collecting questions in advance - if you would like to submit a question to any of our legislators, please do so during the registration process or send an email to Crystal Hairston, Director of Operations, at Crystal@dpchamber.org. We will ask as many questions as time permits. This event is open to the public.

LEADERSHIP SOUTHSIDE ENROLLING NOW! |
|
The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 Leadership Southside program.
Leadership Southside develops participants’ leadership skills to strengthen their role as an individual, professional, and community member. Participants will explore their personal leadership style, and learn how their own behaviors, motivations, and tendencies influence their interaction with others. During this program, participants also will have the opportunity to build strong
connections with their classmates, in addition to networking with each session’s presenters, who are established leaders from across the Dan River Region and the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Session topics include leading a team, conflict resolution, communication skills, crisis leadership, equitable leadership, presentation skills, and transformational leadership. In January, participants will travel to Richmond for Chamber Day at the Capitol to hear from and engage with
members of the General Assembly.
The Chamber has contracted with Rachel Covington to lead and facilitate the 2023-2024 program. Rachel previously served as the Senior Director of Member Services for the Chamber, and led Leadership Southside as part of her role. For more information about how to apply, please contact

CROATIA: THE PEARL OF THE ADRIATIC |

The Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, along with CI Destinations presents Croatia, The Pearl of the Adriatic! You will depart on a luxury tour bus with a group of local travelers, and board your transatlantic flight to Croatia! You will spend nine beautiful days exploring the coast and country side with your group and personal tour guide, departing October, 24, 2023.
Highlights will include Dubrovnik, Diocletian Palace, Franciscan Monastery, Montenegro, Boat excursion to " Our Lady of the Rock," Peljesac Peninsula, Monstar, Kotor, Split, and Trogir.
The cost of the trip is $3,699 per person which includes roundtrip airport transportation, seven nights of hotel accommodations at 4-star hotels, 10 meals (seven breakfasts, three dinners), sightseeing and admissions per itinerary, and a professional tour manager.
