Last Sunday, we celebrated Purim at the MBJCC! We ate hamantashen, played carnival games, enjoyed slides and inflatable rides, and dressed up for the costume contest! Thank you to our staff team for a job well done and our community for joining us in celebrating!

A Thought-Provoking Discussion on Bioethics

On Monday, we hosted an engaging and insightful discussion with Prof. Vardit Ravitsky on the intersection of cultural values and bioethical dilemmas, focusing on Israel. Prof. Ravitsky, President and CEO of The Hastings Center, explored how Israel, as a Jewish-democratic state, addresses complex bioethical issues such as fertility care, end-of-life decision-making, and posthumous reproduction.

Barbara Eisenberg Literary Luncheon with Julie Satow

On Wednesday, March 19th, Miami Beach JCC’s Barbara Eisenberg Literary Luncheon hosted an engaging discussion with Julie Satow, best-selling author of When Women Ran Fifth Avenue. Satow, an award-winning journalist and author of The Plaza, shared insights from her latest book, which chronicles the rise of the department store through the stories of three visionary women who reshaped Fifth Avenue and paved the way for future generations of women in business.
