Dear Miramonte Community, | |
As we head into Spring Break, here are a few important updates:
-
Staff Appreciation: Yesterday, the Miramonte Parents’ Club treated our faculty to a wonderful staff lunch. These moments of connection and relaxation mean so much to our team, and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our parent volunteers. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this possible!
- Job Openings: We’re looking to fill a few key positions for next school year. If you know someone who might be a great fit, please help spread the word! Sharing on social media and encouraging potential candidates to apply or reach out with questions makes a big difference.
- College and Career Center Director
- Girls Varsity Basketball Coach
- Sideline Cheer Coach
- Spring Break Homework Policy: Per AUHSD policy, no homework will be assigned over Spring Break, except for Advanced Placement courses. AP teachers may assign reasonable amounts of work to support students in their preparations.
I hope you all have a fantastic break. Please encourage your kids to unplug, recharge, and enjoy their time off!
GO MATS!

Happy Friday Miramonte Families,
| |
As we head into Spring Break, I hope you all find time to relax, recharge, and enjoy your time with family and friends. Whether you will be traveling or staying local, I hope this break gives you the reset you need as we head into the final stretch of the school year!
When we return, I hope to see you at the ONE Annual Event on April 13th at the Wilder Art & Garden Center. This is a wonderful opportunity for all our schools to come together as a community and enjoy an evening of fun and connection. I know the incredible team putting it together and they have put a ton of energy and effort into making sure it’s a good time! If you haven’t yet purchased your tickets, there’s still time. Visit the event page here for details.
Also, don’t forget our next Miramonte Parent Club Meeting is coming up on April 16th at 11:15 am in the Student Union and we’d love for you to join us. In addition to our Parents' Club Board and Principal updates we will have guest speaker Associate Superintendent, Mr. John Walker. He will be discussing AI in AUHSD and covering how it is being integrated into schools, the implications for our students, and the various opportunities and challenges it presents in the educational landscape. This is one of the most relevant and evolving topics impacting our students today. Don't miss the opportunity to share your thoughts and be part of an important conversation on how technology is shaping the future of learning.
He will also provide an update on our Local Control and Accountability Plan. The ‘LCAP’ is a three-year plan that describes the District’s goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes.
Stay up to date with all Parents' Club activities by visiting our website. As always, please reach out with any questions or concerns.
Warmly,
Christina Linezo

| | ONE-Miramonte Fundraising | |
We haven’t met our fundraising goal yet
Spring break is here and we still haven’t met our fundraising goal of $1,302,000 for the year. Additionally, last year, 64% of Miramonte families made a donation of any size to ONE-Miramonte by the end of the school year, but to date, only 55% of Miramonte families have contributed this year.
We need support from all Miramonte families to meet our goal – it’s not too late to give! Donations to ONE-Miramonte help fund every academic class and program at our school and benefit every Miramonte student.
We understand that the per-student ask of $1800 is not affordable for all families. Donations to ONE-Miramonte of any size are greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support!

Learn How to Walk for Measure T!
Every vote counts in a special election, and we need your help reaching local voters. We’re in our first big canvassing push to identify supportive voters before ballots are mailed on Monday, April 7.
Walking is one of the most effective ways to reach voters! Here are the steps:
1. Learn how to walk: Click here to request a recording of our walk training and learn how to talk to your neighbors about Measure T!
2. Request your turf: Email dlagmay@teamcivx.com to request a neighborhood to walk.
In your email, please provide:
- the school site you're representing
- the town you want to walk in
- your address
- if you're walking with a partner, please provide their name
3. Get walking: Grab some comfortable shoes and finish your turf before ballots are mailed on Monday, April 7!
Want to support in other ways? Please endorse Measure T and also request a lawn sign! Questions or want to get involved? Email Liz Daoust and visit our Yes on Measure T website!

Miramonte's Theater and Music Departments will present Hadestown: Teen Edition on April 18, 19, 24, and 25
Hadestown: Teen Edition is a full-length adaptation of Anaïs Mitchell’s Hadestown (winner of eight 2019 Tony Awards, including Best New Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album), modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
This intriguing and beautiful folk opera delivers a deeply resonant and defiantly hopeful theatrical experience. Following two intertwining love stories – that of young dreamers Orpheus and Eurydice, and that of immortal King Hades and Lady Persephone – Hadestown: Teen Edition invites audiences on a hell-raising journey to the underworld and back. Inspired by traditions of classic American folk music and vintage New Orleans jazz, Mitchell’s beguiling sung-through musical pits industry against nature, doubt against faith, and fear against love.
Don’t wait for the fates to decide—purchase your tickets to Hadestown: Teen Edition here.
