With Western Formal as the attire, the 2024 Creating Ties dinner was held Friday, November 1st at Empower Field at Mile High. We are incredibly thankful to those who joined us in-person, made a donation, donated or purchased a silent auction item, and/or sponsored this year’s Creating Ties dinner. It was an incredible evening of connecting with camp friends and hearing from campers about their medical journeys. The evening featured Empower Field at Mile High experiences, a cocktail reception with dinner, silent and live auction, an inspirational camp program, and post party. We're excited to announce we raised over $180,000!

Winter Camp will be held February 3 – 7, 2025, in Steamboat Springs, CO. This program was developed specifically for teens that have participated in our summer camp program and are interested in learning and growing both on and off the mountain. Participants spend their days shredding the snow and learning new skills and tricks. After a full day on the mountain, the group heads back to the Steamboat Grand Lodge to relax in the hot tub and get ready for the evening’s activities which focus on personal growth and goal setting unique to these campers. Burn survivors who have attended the Cheley Children’s Hospital Colorado Summer Camp are eligible to attend. We are excited to announce we'll have our largest ever Winter Camp in 2025!

At the end of July, the Denver Broncos graciously invited the Children's Colorado Burn Center to the Broncos Balcony Experience at Broncos Training Camp. Together, we hosted burn survivors and their families for this incredibly fun event! We cherish these opportunities to bring burn survivors together to foster a sense of community, promote social interaction, and to build and strengthen relationships. We watched training camp from a private balcony, enjoyed food & beverages, were visited by Miles the Mascot & the Denver Broncos Cheerleaders, and had an autograph session with players and coaches at the conclusion of training camp.

We are excited to announce that the Fire Hose Race is back! Presented and hosted by BCER, the 17th annual race will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Arapahoe Basin! The Fire Hose Race consists of 30 teams of five skiers each spaced along a 50’ fire hose working as a team to maneuver through a 15-gate giant slalom course. Along with carrying the hose, each team member is required to wear a bunker coat and a fire helmet. Each team completes two runs, and the fastest overall single run time will win the event and is awarded the Fire Hose Race Trophy! This year’s Fire Hose Race will once again benefit the Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Camps Program.
