A Physics Carole

Our ePathways department Physics teachers had a bit of fun making their music video "A Physics Carole." Kudos to Mr. Thude "the physics dude," one of the favorite teachers for his rock n' roll appearance and love for all things physics. It turns out that Mr. Thude is also good at singing! We look forward to you watching this video to see how holiday carols can also be learning opportunities.

What's Cool in Our Schools

FOX 35 Storm School Visits Rock Lake Middle

Mr. Kneer's 7th grade advanced science class got a special lesson with Chief Meteorologist Jayme King from FOX 35 Orlando. Mr. King shared his vast knowledge of weather and climate with the students. Topics discussed included the jet stream, pressure systems, hurricanes, oceanic currents, and of course getting an up-close look at the Fox News storm truck. Students loved this interactive lesson.

Hamilton Elementary Innovators Host Family Math Night

Hamilton Elementary School of Engineering and Technology hosted a holiday themed family math night and created some memories with loved ones.

We loved seeing all of the Hamilton innovators rocking their pajamas and showing off their math skills! Way to go!

Lake Howell High School Students Partner with Eastbrook Elementary for Holiday Around the World

This week, Latin Legacy from Lake Howell High had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of Eastbrook Elementary PTA's 2nd annual Holidays Around the World Event.

There were craft stations that included things like face painting making spaghetti noodle necklaces. Presentations included an accordion performance, ukulele band, traditional Chinese lion dance, and the show ended with la Hora Loca, the new Latin tradition, plus inviting the little ones to do a Just Dance challenge. We love when our schools are able to celebrate the traditions of a variety of different cultures and learn all about how holidays are celebrated around the world.
