Auditions for our Spring Production

Anthony and Rosemary have lived their whole lives “a hen’s kick” away from each other on neighbouring farms in rural Ireland. If they are attracted to each other, there is plenty standing in the way of even speaking about it. Add complications of family relationships, a land dispute and old history, and there is plenty to overcome. This is a lovely, if tortured, love story.

Auditions are at the Theatre on Monday, January 29 7:00 pm.

Characters

  • Rosemary, late 30s
  • Anthony, early 40s
  • Tony, 70s or 80s
  • Oiffe, 70s or 80s

(Characters' ages, not necessarily the actors.)

Rehearsals will begin the week of March 4, with the play running April 26 to May 11. This is our entry into the Okanagan Zone Festival, held this year in Vernon the week of May 12. For more information or a copy of the script, please email the director, Kim MacMillan or phone 250-832-4094.

Actors Needed for Short Film

Sascha Ginter is a director, screenwriter and graduate of the Toronto Film School. He has approached us for help finding three actors in their 20s (two male, one female) to volunteer for a short film he is producing called Slap Foosball. What begins as an innocent game of foosball between two strangers spirals into a rivalry of forgotten foes, where the dignity of each is at stake. For more information, please email Sascha (preferred) or call 250-803-2266.
