Nominations: Submit Applications by April 30th
The Joint Standing Committee on Nominations is inviting nominations for various churchwide roles for elections taking place at GC81. These leadership bodies continue the work of the church between General Conventions and applicants need not be deputies to General Convention, only members in good standing of The Episcopal Church.

You are encouraged to look through the job descriptions and consider whether you or someone you know might have the gifts and skills needed to serve in this way. Job descriptions (including time and travel commitments), as well as applications in English, Spanish, and French, are available on the General Convention Website

State of the Church Wants to Hear From You
The Parochial Report is an annual report that each parish submits to heir diocese. It provides information regarding attendance, finances, and more. The 2022 edition has added new demographic questions and we need your help to answer them!

This data helps the leadership of The Episcopal Church know who is sitting in the pews, and at the wider church level, make decisions about financial and staff support for ministries aimed different age groups (like Children, Youth and Young Adult, etc) and racial/ethnic identities (like staff positions for Indigenous, Hispanic/Latino, African Descent Ministries.)

After you fill out the parochial report, the committee on the State of the Church wants to hear your feedback on the 2022 parochial report questions and on the way data is collected. All comments are welcome.
C009 Deputy Certification Compliance
Communication from the Office of General Convention:
Information regarding Deputations

As previously, once your deputation has been elected, please submit that information in the online Deputation Certification Form.

If at any point your deputation changes, please submit that information in the online Deputation Change Form.

New for 81st General Convention

The new rules of order for the House of Deputies regarding deputations, which are available online, require all deputations to have formation in racial reconciliation and for that formation to be reported back prior to General Convention. The reporting will not be required until early 2024. We did want you to be aware and prepare for this reality as you begin to elect your deputations.

The whole Rules of Order, which are a part of the Constitution and Canons 2022, are available online in English and Spanish here: https://www.generalconvention.org/publications#CandC
President Ayala Harris' Easter Message

Over the past few days, my husband and I have been busy planting our late spring and summer gardens. Our gardening this week builds on years of intentional planning and planting various native varieties of wildflowers and pollinator-attracting plants. Many of these plants have yet to send up their shoots, and much of those gardens currently look lifeless, leaving John and I to guess where they might spring up come June.

Around the House
We want to hear about what's happening around the House.

The House of Deputies is full of members that are not only working on resolutions but are also doing fantastic work in their congregations, dioceses, and the country. If you are a deputy doing amazing work or know of someone who is, share it with us today.
