ISRI/GCR Fire Safety Training
Is a Big Success
Ryan Nolte (far left), ISRI’s senior director of safety outreach, leads part of the training at the Fire Safety & Prevention Training course for recyclers held on March 29 in San Antonio.

The next day, March 30, ISRI and GCR partnered with the San Antonio Manufacturing Association to offer an equally successful Fire Safety & Prevention Training course for manufacturers that supply recyclable materials to recycling companies in the Gulf Coast Region as well as fire department officials. “The ability to reach our metal recycling customers and our manufacturing partners with the message of fire hazard prevention was invaluable,” said GCR board member Jordan Vexler of Monterrey Iron & Metal Co. (San Antonio). “Everyone came away with better knowledge of potential fire hazards in their facilities.”
