EXPANDING
educational opportunities
for students and engaging
our community!

WE DID IT AGAIN! As this school year comes close to an end, I would like to celebrate and thank all who have supported our many important programs and fun events. Looking back, it feels as if we sped through this year on hyperspeed as things settled back into normalcy! The excitement around our students, teachers, and schools grew, and we celebrated in new and exciting ways.

Part of the growth here at the Foundation was the addition of Annual Sponsor Partners. Only through the support of partners like this, can the Foundation continue to make an impact on the students of DCSD through our three pillars of Innovation & Leadership, STEAM, and Community. CORE Electric Cooperative, Westerra Credit Union, and United Health Care all stepped up in big ways to make a lasting impact . . . Thank you!

Wishing you all the very best as this school year wraps up and summer fun begins!

Ashley Sommers, Executive Director

The Douglas County School District's Perseverance Scholarship has awarded over $276,000 in scholarships to nearly 200 seniors since 1988. Financial need and academic merit are key criteria used in selecting the scholarship recipients.

In addition, students who are awarded this scholarship have often overcome personal challenges. These students show grit, determination and resiliency, and need financial assistance to continue their education after graduation from a DCSD school.
