Dear Friends and Partners,

As we look back on this incredible year, we are filled with gratitude for the unwavering support of our community—friends like you who make our mission possible. It is because of your generosity and commitment that we’ve been able to reach new heights in supporting education.

This year has also been a powerful reminder of the strength of our community. After the challenges brought by Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we have witnessed an inspiring spirit of resilience and solidarity as neighbors, businesses, and organizations came together to rebuild, support one another, and move forward stronger than before. Your involvement in these efforts has been truly moving, and it has been a privilege to be a part of this collective recovery.

Together, we've made a difference through our scholarship program, empowered teachers with new professional opportunities, supported innovative classroom projects, worked to break the cycle of poverty through education with our Take Stock in Children program, and ensured that students have the classroom supplies they need to succeed through our Wise Supplies initiative.

As the year comes to a close, we invite you to continue making an impact by supporting local education. Your gift to the Pasco Education Foundation helps ensure that every student, regardless of circumstance, has access to the resources and opportunities necessary to thrive—both inside and outside the classroom.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright New Year ahead. Thank you for your continued support!

With Gratitude,

Stacey, Sierra, Sara, Nancy, Matthew, Kayla, Jackie, Caitlin, and Amy

PEF Raised over $400,000 in support of Hurricane Relief Efforts

In the wake of the hurricanes, through partnerships with businesses, support of organizations, and the generosity of countless individuals, PEF raised $405,000 to support recovery relief for our students and employees in Pasco County.

The funds provided meaningful assistance in the following ways.

  • Pasco County Schools staff were provided assistance to personally recover and rebuild, allowing them to focus on the critical work they do for our schools and students
  • Replacement of essential classroom resources at schools across the county
  • Pasco County Schools students were provided assistance to purchase vital necessities to continue their education without disruption.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to these efforts.

Reflecting on 2024...Gearing up for 2025

Wise Supplies celebrated its third year of operation, and 2024 was the most successful year of the program so far!

We hosted various events to collect school supplies across the Pasco communities. Wise Supplies raised $61,044 in physical and monetary donations thanks to many donors.

PEF greatly appreciates the support of the community and business partners. In 2024, Pasco County teachers shopped for free at Wise Supplies 1,419 times.

  • 2024 Spring Semester Shops: 587 teachers received $67,312.13 in school supplies

  • 2024 Fall Semester Shops: 832 teachers received $127,455.17 in school supplies

We are thankful to our amazing volunteers who have helped us organize items to make for an easy and enjoyable experience for teachers!

This year, we provided $82,000 to 81 teachers with the Foundation's Innovative Classroom Projects. We can't wait to see the excitement of learning expand in their classrooms!

We were fortunate to award $29,500 to 52 educators with the Foundation's Employee Scholarships. Each scholarship provides financial assistance to employees who want to further their education to better serve our students' needs.

Our Pasco Take Stock in Children team received the Luminary Award in 2024. This award is given to local affiliate programs that exceed the state's goals in mentoring, college success coaching, and college preparation workshops. This team's recognition of outstanding performance could not have been possible without the commitment of our students to the program and the dedicated mentors who volunteer their time to enrich the lives of these students.

Take Stock by the Numbers:

  • 58 students
  • 640+ hours of Mentor sessions
  • 116 College Success Coach visits
  • 7 College Readiness Workshops

Project L.E.A.D. is our initiative to provide funds on a school-wide or district-wide basis with maximum capacity per student. In 2024, we provided nearly $40,000 to fund STEM labs, robotics, and literacy projects.

The Foundation's Resiliency and Leader in Me projects provided Fox Hollow Elementary School $50,000 and the EMC $40,000 for student enrichment.

This year, the Foundation partnered with the Consortium of Education Foundations and the University of Florida to bring the New World Reading Initiative (NWRI) to more students in Pasco County than ever before. With this program, we've met hundreds of families, shown them reading strategies, and encouraged family reading time.

As the direct-support non-profit for Pasco County Schools, all donations are tax-deductible and go directly to our programs.
