Vacation Bible School registration begins March 3! This year’s them is True North, and it runs June 9-12 from 9:00am to noon. We will guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North! VBS is for children ages 3 (by Jan. 1 of this year and must be potty trained) through entering 6th grade. Register online at dayspring-umc.org/vbs. Email Andrea with questions or if you would like to volunteer.

Ash Wednesday is this Wednesday, March 5. Drive-thru ashes will be offered in the Tempe parking lot from 7:30-9:00am. Then, join us at our 6pm service as we begin the sacred season of Lent with prayer, reflection, and the imposition of ashes. This time of worship invites us to remember our human frailty and acknowledge our need for grace through God’s unwavering love for us all. Our labyrinth will also be available for a self-guided walk throughout the day.

The Hardest Part, Hurt We Carry, Hope We Find by Kate Bowler is a Lenten study that explores the fragile and complex nature of life—balancing joy and sorrow, love and loss. Lent is a time to acknowledge life’s hardships rather than ignore them, reflecting on our struggles while seeking hope and grace. The study, beginning March 5, includes daily Scripture, reflections, and blessings. Virtual small group discussions will be held via Zoom on Wednesdays at 5:30pm (March 12–April 23) and Thursdays at 4:00pm (March 6–April 24). To participate, please email Andrea to register and visit katebowler.com/lent to download the study guide.
