Student Board Member Symposium
Student Board Members play an essential role in the local democratic process, and as community leaders. Support your district's Student Board Member in becoming a stronger leader and a syphon for student voices by signing them up for one of CASC's Student Board Member Symposiums today!
One specialized program that we host are the Student Board Member Symposiums, which are one day workshops for students serving on local school boards. In this conference, they will gain essential knowledge about the roles and responsibilities of a student representative, how to respond to challenges, Surveying Student Opinion, the Student Bill of Rights, and more whilst collaborating with other Student Board Members.
By focusing on local district procedures and understanding the position of a Student Board Member, delegates will be prepared to serve their terms as confident and knowledgeable leaders.
Symposium dates:
Sept 22 - Alameda County Office of Education
Sept 29 - San Joaquin County Office of Ed
October 5 - CSBA Office, 3251 Beacon Blvd. West Sacramento, CA 95691
Tentatively October 12th - OC District Office
