The Board of Health would like to offer Medway residents two free virtual training sessions through the Behavioral Health and Racial Equity (BEHERE) Training Initiative of Health Resources in Action. This two-part training includes information on opioid overdose on rescue, prevention, harm reduction, and safety planning. Registration is required for both dates. On April 27 at 7pm, the Medway Public Library will host a portrayal of Frances Perkins. Guests will hear stories from the life of this woman who dedicated her career to providing exploited working men, women, and children with safe, humane workplaces. Frances Perkins pushed through legislation to reduce crushing work-week hours, helped develop a fire-safety code in New York that became a model for the country, and created Social Security. Registration suggested but walk-ins are welcome.
