Hello,

“Suppose there was a book full only of the word
let – from whose clipped sound all things began: fir
and firmament, feather, the first whale – and suppose

we could scroll through its pages every day
to find and pronounce a Let meant only for us –
we would stumble through the streets with open books,

eyes crossed from too much reading: we would speak
in auto-rhyme, the world would echo itself – and still
we’d continue in rounds, saying let and let and let

until even silent dreams had been allowed.”
Kei Miller, Book of Genesis

I wonder what it would be like if I owned such a book and scrolled daily through its pages. What could happen if I oriented around an endless invitation to let? If I turned towards steady encouragement to get underneath rote, refined and conditioned notions of what I want to let in, let shine and let go of? What might it feel like to let out untamed, never-before-spoken-dreams?

As we move through winter’s final weeks along the path to spring, what silent dreams would you like to let – out? shine? be? go? grow? And what, deep down, do you desire to let in?

In this newsletter you will find updates about my June nature meditation retreat and weekly Yoga Nidra classes. I am also taking a quick poll around interest for an on-going coaching group, and running a celebratory special-- see below. Finally, further down I share a book about letting the natural spaces around us be wild.

In appreciation,
Ashley
Nature Meditation Retreat
June 9-11, in Oregon’s beautiful Coastal Mountain Range

I have been heading outdoors whenever I get a chance to play with nature meditations around reciprocity – the theme of my upcoming retreat. It’s been a lot of fun and I look forward to sharing these practices. I invite you to learn more about the retreat HERE.

Early bird pricing runs through February. Thanks to a generous patron, I also have a large scholarship fund to work with. Please don’t hesitate to inquire about financial support if you are interested and this would help you to attend.
Would You Be Interested?
People have been sharing a desire to soften boundaries between their contemplative practices and how they approach work and life-work synergy. Folks have also been expressing a longing to be around people who can support them both when they shine and struggle.

With this I am exploring an ongoing, contemplative-based coaching group for solopreneurs, creatives and people navigating leadership positions.

Is this something you might enjoy? If so, please email me. I can share more thoughts* and if there is enough interest, I will get something started!

*Presently I imagine gathering monthly (for about 2 hours), and a sliding scale to meet a range of budgets.
Coaching Special
Partnering with people as they live into their aspirations is a joy for me. In celebration of reaching a milestone I am running a special on introductory 1:1 coaching packages (to commence by March 31.) I am also opening a few slots for immersive sessions (two to three-hour deep dives into a particular challenge or aim.) I would love to support you!

Curious if coaching is a good fit for you? Email me to schedule a complimentary, exploratory call. You can also learn more about the benefits of coaching and my approach HERE.
Weekly Yoga Nidra
We’ve been delving into connections between personal practice and collective well-being during Yoga Nidra (guided relaxation) classes. I would love for you to join us.

Tuesdays, 5:30 – 6:30pm PST. You can learn more and access registration HERE. No prior experience is needed; there are sliding scale and monthly membership options available.
Wild, The Naturalistic Garden
As some of you know I have been slowly rewilding my outdoor spaces. It’s been a learning curve! For every couple of things I do well I usually make a questionable judgment call. I got this book to help keep the faith when I’m yet again course-correcting.

Wild is a coffee table book exploring urban naturalism in home and public gardens. It’s filled with gorgeous photographs by Claire Takacs highlighting a myriad of approaches to naturalistic gardening and the beauty of letting plants be, year-round. Images are paired with essays on design considerations by Noel Kingsbury. (Kingsbury co-runs Garden Masterclass, an educational organization dedicated to supporting anyone keen on healthy planting from landscape architect to home gardener.)
💛 I welcome you to forward this newsletter to someone who you feel would find it helpful. If someone sent this to you and you want to subscribe, you can do that here. I appreciate every share - thank you. 💛
