Spring Success, What's Next?

ESports

Our first ever ESports Camp took place over Spring Break. Children were invited to learn about Minecraft, video games, technology, and more! We are thrilled that we were host this program in conjunction with the City of Panama City, ASCENT, and PCHA. Thank you to all of our sponsors who have made this possible! The students had a blast and are ready to attend our upcoming ESports Summer Camp. This event even garnered the attention of local media outlet, WMBB.

“This is the new reality,” Littleton said. “This is the reality that these kids have grown up with. And these are the worlds that they live in. They create their own worlds. They discuss and compete with others, just like on the football field only. It’s a very cerebral activity.”

Summer Programs

The LEAD Coalition’s first cohort of the STEAM Team program attended several camps this past summer, engaging in building and launching rockets, maneuvering drones on Mars, and learning more about computers and tech.

This is an amazing opportunity for elementary students to imagine themselves in future careers.

As more details are finalized, we will begin sharing what camps will be available for students to attend. For more information on how to apply, visit our website!

Youth Development Programs

Financial Literacy

This workshop has become a staple in our program. We recently held a course in February to develop the foundation given at the previous workshop last year.

We discussed topics such as what it takes to start a business, how to get a business loan, what you need to have in-hand before you get started, and so much more!

We plan to continue this series and look forward to meeting new individuals who are looking to create and maintain their small business. Follow us on our social media channels to stay up to date on the latest programs!

Construction Basic Skills Workshop

LEAD partnered with Richard Dodd, President of ReliantSouth Construction Group to offer an All-in-One Construction skills course at the beginning of 2023.

Mr. Dodd has over 30 years of experience in his field and was immensely excited to continue sharing his knowledge with the 2023 class. This year's graduates of the course received a free tool-kit to begin honing their skills in the trade (even if it just meant helping their partner knock some items off of their "honey-do" list).

It is because of your dedication and commitment to our cause that we are able to continue to make a positive impact in our community.

Your contributions have allowed us to provide necessary programs and services to those who need it most, and we are truly grateful for your support.

As we move forward, we remain committed to our goal of building trust, restoring neighborhoods, and increasing safety in Bay County and surrounding areas, and we hope that you will continue to stand with us as we work to create a better future for all.

Once again, thank you for your support, and we look forward to continuing our work together.
