With efforts to reverse major civil rights reform, the anti-DEI movement trying to reshape our workplaces, and the rise of censorship and book bans in classrooms, honoring Black history is more urgent than ever.

The Syracuse University College of Law Black Law Students Association cordially invites you to celebrate with us at the 6th Annual Black History Month Gala. This year’s theme, “United Legacy: Honoring Diversity on the Bench,” highlights the profound impact of diversity in the legal profession and beyond.

Chairs of the WBASNY DV, Immigration, Family and Matrimonial Law, Sex Trafficking and Children’s Rights Committees invite you to a Zoom panel presentation. This session will provide an overview of the legal options available for non-citizen survivors of domestic violence and trafficking and how the current political administration's recent orders and policy changes will impact survivors. Information will also be provided about best practices for safety planning in light of increased detention and deportation efforts.

The Syracuse University College of Law will be hosting the National Trial Competition Regional from Friday, February 21, 2025, through Sunday, February 23, 2025. 


The Competition is sponsored by the American College of Trial Lawyers, the Texas Young Trial Lawyers Association, and the Trial Lawyers Section of the New York Bar Association. 


Twenty-two teams from this region will be participating in the competition, and they NEED OVER 150 JUDGES/LAWYERS to evaluate their performance and provide valuable feedback.
