APPLY TO BE A SUSTAINABILITY & ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE INTERN

University of Connecticut is hiring Sustainability & Environmental Justice Interns at their Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury campuses. Interns will work 8-12 hours per week at $16-17/hour. Contact sustainability@uconn.edu for more information.

This role will focus on advancing environmental justice (EJ) and sustainability initiatives at UConn's regional campuses. Interns will be responsible for leading projects including service learning, EJ education and outreach, compiling greenhouse gas inventories and energy audits to align with campus decarbonization goals, and engagement with the student body around sustainability through communications and event coordination.


Qualifications:

  • Must be a current UConn student attending a regional campus
  • A minimum 3.200 GPA
  • Interest in the environment, sustainability, and their interactions with society
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team


Hours: 8 hours to 12 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $16.35 per hour

Work Location: Hartford Campus

This is a promotional flyer for the SBIR/STTR Accelerator program hosted by CTSBDC.
