RECYCLING CENTER PERMITS
It's that time of year, again! Montauk Recycling Center vehicle permits expired April 1. Make sure to obtain your new permit at the Town Clerk Annex at the Montauk Playhouse (Monday through Friday, 9am-3:30pm, closed for lunch, 12:30-1pm). Cost: $115 for primary self-haulers, $55 for those 65+, and $40 for a secondary-hauler permit.
NEW SUPPORT GROUP FOR CAREGIVERS AT THE MONTAUK LIBRARY
Friends of the Montauk Library and the Alzheimer's Association are sponsoring a new, free support group for Alzheimer's and dementia caregivers, the last Tuesday of each month from 2-3 pm at the Library. For more information, call 631-668-2498.
MONTAUK ARTISTS ASSOCIATION CELEBRATES 25 YEARS
The Montauk Artist Association is marking its 25th anniversary this year and will feature a vibrant schedule of events to celebrate, with gallery shows at the Depot Gallery, juried art shows on the Green, and more. To learn more, click here.
APRIL 8TH HITHER WOODS HIKE
The East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will lead a 5-6 mile hike through Hither Hills State Park to Hidden Pond and back on Saturday, April 8th at 10am. Meet at the Paumanok Path entry on Napeague Harbor Road. For more info. on this and other upcoming hikes, click here.
LIGHTHOUSE REOPENS FOR THE SEASON
The Montauk Lighthouse gift shop, museum, and grounds have reopened for the season. Daily hours are 10:30am - 4:30pm. For more information, click here.
