Help Me Grow Skagit

We have launched a new website! Check it out at www.HelpMeGrowSkagit.org. The site is designed to be family-friendly and it is available in English and Spanish!


Gaby Camarena, our Help Me Grow Skagit Family Resource Navigator, is available by phone at (360) 630-8352 Monday through Friday from 9:00am - 4pm. Now, she is also available for in-person appointments! Gaby is onsite at the Children's Museum on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00am-2pm to further support families!

Somos LatinX Families 2022 Series

Free webinar series which offers a safe and welcoming space to hold conversations for and by Latinx families. Exploring what it means to be a parent as part of the Latinx community, raising Latinx children while navigating U.S. mainstream cultures, and connecting Latinx cultural identities to physical and mental health. The six-part series begins on Monday, September 19, 2022, and will be held every other Monday, from 12 to 1:30 PM PT. All are welcome to join and engage in these powerful conversations!


Enrollment for Skagit FVRx 2023 is now open!

Skagit FVRx is a FREE, year-long healthy eating program that supports participants with vouchers to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, along nutrition education and connections to local resources for healthy eating and active living. This program is a great fit for individuals and families who are at risk for, or living with, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol. Powerful Partnerships 2022

Skagit County has shown exceptional resiliency through the COVID pandemic. We invite you to join us to celebrate our strength as a community and share updates on the 2022 Community Health Assessment and COVID Recovery Plan. We are also proud to present the 3rd Annual Terry Belcoe Change Maker Award at the end of the program! We hope to see you there! Registration is required for this free event.

Children’s Museum of Skagit County's 19th Annual Chair-ity Auction!

Bidder Registration opens on Friday, September 2nd as will previewing of the auction items online! Online bidding for silent & pre-bidding for live items will open at 9am on Monday, September 5th. Silent items close at 9pm on Saturday, September 10th. An In-person Auction & Appetizers event is planned for Friday, September 10th from 5:30pm-7:30pm at the Museum! This event is for big kids aged 18+. A very limited quantity of tickets are available now on our auction page

Help Me Grow Partnership Manager

The Help Me Grow (HMG) Partnership Manager is accountable for providing technical assistance to and professional development opportunities for HMG Washington’s partner network as they work to implement the HMG System Model. This includes supporting continuous learning and peer-to-peer connection among exploratory communities and the HMG Washington sub-affiliate network. The HMG Systems team actively advocates for systems change at the practice and policy level.

Help Me Grow VISTA - AmeriCorps

A collaboration with the Children’s Council of Skagit County and United General District 304, this position will help design and establish a parent education series as part of an effort to build a continuum of early childhood development supports. People of color, people with disabilities, veterans, and other candidates from underrepresented backgrounds and with diverse experiences interested in this opportunity are encouraged to apply.

SW WA Healthy Families 4th Annual Conference - Being there, With Love and Support for Families in the First Years

Re-Imagining Behavioral Health: Race Equity and Social Justice conference | Sept. 29-30

Hosted by UW Harborview Behavioral Health Institute, this conference will provide meaningful conversation about healing racial trauma, dismantling racism, combating systemic racism and social injustices through the lens of mental health and substance use issues. CEU's will be available for behavioral health care professionals.


De-escalation Communication Training | Sept. 16 or 28

This training by WA Department of Health's Behavioral Health Group is offering is designed to help navigate difficult conversations and focus on clear and effective communication. This training is free and held virtually. Register for Friday Sept. 16th from 10-11:30 a.m. or Wednesday Sept. 28th from 2-3:30 p.m.

North Sound Accountable Community of Health (North Sound ACH) exists to create a just and inclusive culture and the necessary conditions for all community members to thrive. The North Sound ACH Resource Library is designed to make the wisdom, innovations, and best practices that already exist in North Sound accessible–and to link North Sound resources to national frameworks and thought partners.


Indigenous Knowledge Library

The Indigenous Knowledge Library centers Indigenous knowledge on Community Commons by highlighting over 300 newly-curated resources, tools, and stories that advance cultural renewal, intergenerational healing, health equity, and holistic well-being for Indigenous peoples. The library was developed through a landscape analysis of emerging themes in Indigenous knowledge and prioritizes culturally-appropriate work by and/or for Indigenous authors, creators, and communities.


Childcare Aware of Washington Infant Toddler Newsletter

Child Care Aware of Washington is excited to introduce our first regional newsletter specifically geared towards programs serving ages birth to three. The newsletter will highlight our Birth to Three Quality Initiative (B3QI) team, the services we offer, and some resources to support you around a monthly theme. Our vision is for this to be a resource to connect anyone working with infants or toddlers and their families, so please share with your staff and teams
