JOIN US DECEMBER 6TH TO HEAR FROM STATE AND NATIONAL LEADERS AS WE DISCUSS COMPETITIVE INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT WHERE WE WILL BE VALUING ALL PERSPECTIVES!

Goals for the Summit:

Learn about New Funding and Initiatives for Competitive Integrated Employment in North Carolina.
Determine ways to include all perspectives as the state increases Competitive Integrated Employment opportunities.
Find common ground.
Hear updated information as well as a national perspective.

Prior to the Summit, all CIE Summit registrants have access to our Pre-Con Symposium - Medicaid and Integrated Care: A Closer Look at Waivers, Transitions and Expansion from 10:00am – 12:00pm, which will include general updates on IDD from state leaders. Lunch will be offered at 12:00, and the CIE Summit will start at 1:00.

You will have additional opportunities to visit exhibits and network with State representatives, key stakeholders, and others.

Speakers

Cathy Ficker Terrill, Past President of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (AAIDD), CQL| The Council on Quality Leadership as well as a former chair at the Human Services Research Institute (HRSI).

Chris Egan, MSW, LCSW

The Assistant Secretary for Employment and Inclusion for the NC DHHS, where he oversees a portfolio of programs that help people with disabilities and other historically marginalized populations achieve goals for employment, more independent living, increased financial self-sufficiency and community inclusion.

Ginger Yarbrough, MPA, NADD-DDS, CPHQ.

IDD & TBI Section Chief NC at the Department

of Health and Human Services. Former Accreditation Manager for Alliance Health

Kathie Smith, MS, LCMHC, CPM. Division Director for NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services and part-time Licensed Counselor for Wake Psychological Health and Wellness.

Kenneth Bausell, I/DD Manager, NC Medicaid. Senior Director of Employment and Inclusion at the Department of Health and Human Services. Kenneth currently serves as the Senior Director of Employment and Inclusion where he supports the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, the Division of Services Blind, the Division of Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing and Employment First.

Talley Wells, Executive Director for North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities. Former Executive Director for

Georgia Appleseed Center for Law & Justice.
