Darius T. Johnson, Youth Action Board Member

I, Darius, am a multiracial LGBTQIA+ Community member with qualified minor experience. I have had the honor and privilege of being on the Youth Action Board as well as participating in various committee meetings, such as the YHDP (Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program), the IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Awareness) committee, and the RFP and CCP workgroups. I am excited to get to have a chance at moving upward in the BoS, Thank you.

Robin Durbin of Elevate Lebanon

I have years experience in the healthcare overseeing medical, dental, and behavioral services for the underserved population at a doctor's office. This has proven useful when working with the people I serve now. While we do receive some CoC funding, Elevate Lebanon depends on community support through private donors, business sponsorships and NAP tax credits. My ability to listen to understand and speak to inform assists in effective collaboration with other non-profits and community organizations to serve the needs of our neighbors. Collaborating and turning words and ideas into action is how we make a true positive impact. We serve all counties in Region 8 and additional counties in Region 5 and 9. Lastly, I have lived experience of homelessness with four children after leaving my spouse. It was short lived experience, thankfully, but I am able to be empathetic to others in less than desirable circumstances, while also offering guidance on the steps to take to improve those circumstances for the long term and be successful.

At Large Board Questionnaire Answers

Sonia Campbell of CCKC/JS

I have been working with Catholic Charities of Kansas City St. Joseph for approximately 4 years and addressing providing permanent supportive housing to our homeless clients. I am currently the Executive Chair of the St. Joseph Continuum of Care, in which this position ends in December. I am active in our MOBOS Continuum of Care by being on committees such as the Moving on Workgroup and Performance Committee. I am very active in compiling data and using those outcomes to address issues that we have and find ways to improve those processes. With being a program manager of SSVF and Community Housing, I work directly with coordinated entry and chronically homeless for our permanent supportive housing program and with our Veteran program we work with Rapid Rehousing and Homeless prevention. I want to be more active in the Continuum of Care, and coordinated entry process that offer more landlord engagement and eventually have more programs that serve those in need.

Brian Williams of RCCCP

I have worked for the RCCCP since 2001 and served as the Executive Director since 2007. During this time I have initiated various projects that address Social Drivers of Health focusing on housing, transportation, food security, and other emerging issues that impact the quality of life for the rural residents living in Central and Northeast Missouri. I have served on several boards including the Network for Strong Communities, Fathers and Families Coalition of America, Safe Passage Domestic Violence Shelter, Northeast Advisory Alliance Coalition, and currently serve on the Moberly Area Community College Board of Trustees. Last year I served on the review panel for Special Notice of Funding Opportunity (SNOFO). Our agency serves all populations but has an emphasis on serving minority, veterans, seniors, justice involved, and senior populations.
