The deadline to register for the upcoming Faithful Conference is today, Friday, November 10, at noon. Don’t wait any longer! Register right now at faithfulconference.org!

This year’s Faithful Conference costs $10 per person, those 18 and younger are free. Paid registrations will receive a $10 off coupon at the bookstore (received by email the week of the conference) and a copy of Carl Truman’s book, Strange New World. All registrations must be submitted by Friday, November 10, at noon, to receive the coupon.

We also have free children’s programs on Saturday night for ages 4 months - 5th grade. All children’s programs on Sunday morning and Sunday evening will operate as normal. To register your child(ren) for Saturday night’s activities, register at faithfulconference.org. You do not need to register your children for Sunday’s children’s programs.

Dr. Carl R. Trueman is a Professor of Biblical and Religious Studies at Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. He earned an M.A. in Classics from the University of Cambridge and a Ph.D. in Church History from the University of Aberdeen. He is the author of more than a dozen books and is the co-host of “The Mortification of Spin” podcast with Todd Pruitt. The podcast is a humorous, informal podcast with engaging and thought-provoking conversations on the challenges facing the Church and the Christian. The podcast is on multiple platforms that can be found at https://mortificationofspin.podbean.com/.

Carl Trueman also contributes to First Things. Firstthings.com publishes thoughtful commentary on vital matters of faith and public life. First Things also publishes a magazine ten times each year, where today’s most influential writers and readers come together to debate the central religious and cultural issues of our time. Carl Trueman is an esteemed church historian and a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center. He is a member of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

10 of Those vision is to help local churches and Christian organizations by providing quality Christian resources at prices they can afford. They provide only those resources which are consistent with the Word of God as we understand it. 10 of Those is a C corporation. However, in many ways they function like a non–profit organization (i.e. they work hard to use any profits to distribute resources across the world and to support ministries that would hold to their Basis of Faith). People often ask how they are able to sell resources so cheaply compared to other outlets. The simple answer is twofold: 10 of Those buys stock in bulk to get better prices and pass that onto the customer. They are also passionate about getting more resources out there and used, so instead of making lots of money on each item they discount as much as possible.

We hope you take time to browse this great bookstore in our main lobby throughout the weekend!

We hope you are making plans to join us for a combined Sunday School on November 19, at 9:00 am, in the sanctuary. This will be an important combined Sunday School for our youth and for all adults as Eric Russ, Pastor of Evangelism and Mobilization, is presenting the vision of outreach for the Matthews community. Come and learn how we can be a healthy outward facing church and how each of us can play a part in sharing the love of Christ with our community. Eric is also providing training on how we can engage with our neighbors, friends, and families during the upcoming holiday season. We hope you will make plans to join us at this special Sunday School.

All are welcome to join us on Sunday, November 19, at 5:00 pm, in the Community Life Center rooms 1&2 (CLC), to hear from one of our restricted workers serving the Lord in Malaysia! Joining him will be several pastors and elders from Malaysia who are attending The Malaysia Partnership, November 15-18, at Christ Covenant Church. Come and enjoy light refreshments prior to the evening worship service as we learn about the Lord’s faithful work in Malaysia!

All moms are invited to join the Children’s Ministry staff for a night of creating, snacks and fellowship with other moms as we prepare for the holiday season. This includes the opportunity to make a Jesse Tree that you can use with your family this Christmas. Join us Tuesday, November 14, at 7:00 pm in the Community Life Center. All men ages 16 and older who enjoy playing golf are invited to come play a round of golf at Monroe Country Club on Friday, December 1, 2023, with tee times beginning at 1:00 pm. On Saturday, December 2, at 7:00 am, our monthly Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be a buffet breakfast in the Community Life Center rooms 1 & 2 (CLC). The annual Women’s Ministry Christmas Brunch will be held this year on Thursday, December 7, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm, in the Community Life Center (CLC).
