THIS WEEK

Our Food Pantry is seeking donations of generic peanut butter! Due to supply issues, the Pantry volunteers have been unable to buy their usual Meijer-brand peanut butter that is included in each food order. If you shop at Walmart, Kroger, Aldi, etc., please consider purchasing a jar of peanut butter for the pantry. Donation boxes will be at both campuses. Thank you for your help.

THIS SATURDAY!

Young adults are invited to gather with others at On Par Entertainment, across from The Greene, on Saturday, January 25 from 3-5 p.m. Contact: Mary Miller

Our Congregation Council and Call Committee are thrilled to bring forth to the congregation a primary candidate for the call of Associate Pastor at Epiphany Lutheran Church. Due to the confidential nature of the call process, the name of the candidate will not be released at this time.

Voting members are then invited to a congregational vote on Sunday, January 26, at noon at the Far Hills Campus.

Who is a Voting Member? From our constitution: Voting members are confirmed members. Such confirmed members, during the current or preceding calendar year, shall have communed in this congregation and shall have made a contribution of record to this congregation. Members of this congregation who have satisfied these basic standards shall have privilege of voice and vote at every regular and special meeting of this congregation as well as the provisions of this constitution and its bylaws. LIFT on Sunday, February 2

(Learning In Faith Together for Children & Families)

The children have been learning the Lord’s Prayer in Sunday School during the month of January. They will be singing the Lord’s Prayer during the closing song of the 9:00 a.m. service on February 2. If you are worshiping with us, please have your child go out the doors at the back of the sanctuary to meet the teachers after communion and get ready to sing. If you will be joining us to sing, please come around 9:45 and meet us behind the sanctuary where we will gather before singing. All children are welcome to come sing with us in February!

After we sing, we will all celebrate together with treats and refreshments in the celebration center between services between 10-10:30 a.m. The entire congregation is invited to join our Sunday School families in fellowship!

The Life & Times of Dietrich Bonhoeffer

With Pastor Emeritus Larry Hoffsis

Mondays, February 10 & 24

Classroom 13

Morning Sessions: 10:00-11:30 AM; OR

Evening Sessions: 7:00-8:30 PM

The recent film Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Spy, Assassin raises an old question: how should a Christian respond to its government? In this case, how should a German Lutheran have responded to certain policies of Hitler and the Third Reich? Pastor Hoffsis has had many experiences in Germany, having conversed with Christians who chose compliance as well as those who chose resistance.
