Together, we raised nearly $200,000 in our end-of-year campaign! Your generosity empowers survivors in our community to access life-changing support — completely free of charge. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with survivors and making this possible. Your support fuels hope, healing, and a brighter future. 

Support Groups for Survivors

Support groups are free services facilitated by advocates who plan activities and discussions focusing on self-care and self-reflection. Discussions do not involve trauma-processing, sharing of stories/specific details, asking for legal/criminal justice advice, or behavior-modifying therapies.

2024 Volunteers at Annual Gratitude Party

91 Volunteers Donated 11,000 Hours to MOCSA in 2024!

A huge thank you to those who volunteered in 2024! You are the heart and soul of MOCSA, and your time, energy, and compassion have made a lasting impact on our community.

In 2024 volunteers responded to 268 hospital activations and we onboarded 77 new volunteers, interns and staff members. The National value of volunteer time is rated at $33.49 an hour, making the contributions of our volunteers valued at $368,613.37. 

We are deeply grateful for volunteers and can’t wait to continue this meaningful work with you in 2025!

MOCSA on The Independent Cover!

We are thrilled to share that MOCSA was featured on the cover of The Independent for the groundbreaking of our new building, a space dedicated to supporting survivors. This milestone represents a significant step forward in our mission, and we are grateful for the community’s continued support.

⭐ Staff Highlight ⭐

Leigh Higgins, Counseling Coordinator, recently received our Difference Maker award which recognizes staff for their meaningful contributions to MOCSA's mission and for exhibiting our values in their everyday work.

We also want to congratulate Leigh on her 15th anniversary with MOCSA! We appreciate Leigh's dedication to our mission and all the incredible work she's done to serve MOCSA and our community.
