ECO of the Year awarded to all for 2022

The year 2022 was full of challenges, including lingering effects from the COVID-19 pandemic and civil unrest, as well as changes brought by Marcus Alert and the new Priority Dispatch call-taking system. Staffing shortages meant that

many had to work overtime hours.

Because of the dedication they displayed through these challenges, each emergency communications officer who worked in 2022 has been named ECO of the Year. Congratulations!

March in review

911 after-call surveys begin

Some 911 callers began to receive after-call surveys by text message on March 20. Sent by the vendor PowerEngage, the texts ask callers three questions to rank the service they received and refer them to the website for more information. They are another way to receive feedback from the community to help improve services.
