Stay Informed with WCLC

A lot is happening quickly! Trump has signed numerous Executive Orders that are significantly affecting families, children and communities. It’s crucial that we stay focused on these orders. Some will call for action, such as protests, phone calls, or letters. Others may require support through donations—whether monetary or material. And there are orders whose full consequences are not yet clear.

We Can Lead Change will provide several ways to keep you updated. Please sign up below or visit our website and Facebook page.

Immigrant Allies

No matter who is president, everyone living in the U.S. has certain basic rights under the U.S. Constitution. Undocumented immigrants have these rights, too. It is important that we all assert and protect our basic rights.

As an ally to immigrants, you can:

  • Educate yourself: Learn about immigration issues and share accurate information with others

  • Speak out: Advocate for immigrant rights and policies that welcome immigrants

  • Get involved: Attend community events, rallies, and protests

  • Accompany immigrants: Go with immigrants to appointments, check-ins, and court processes

  • Support organizations: Donate to or volunteer with organizations that support immigrants

  • Be respectful: Listen to immigrants and show genuine interest in their experiences

  • Challenge misinformation: Share accurate information about immigrants and their contributions to society

  • Take action: Take part in actions that support immigrants and oppose harmful policies

  • Report and document raids and arrests. If it is possible and safe for you to do so, take photos and videos of the raid or arrest. Also take notes on what happened. Inform allies. DO NOT POST ONLINE.

  • Report what you saw to Immigration Support Organizations: 1-855-435-7693
