Dear Parents,
This week has been filled with so much excitement! As you know, Washington visited our school for our 5 year renewal on our National Accreditation. In all 5 classes were observed over the 2 day site visit and every area of our school as well as our accreditation portfolios were reviewed. Our staff did an AMAZING SUPER, WONDERFUL, JOB, just like they do each and every day. In 90 days we will have the decision report.
I am excited about so many wonderful upcoming events here at Kids For Kids Academy.
This year the Colgate Bright Smiles Dental program is returning to our school. On February 15th, the Colgate Bright Smiles Bus will come to our school for a dental education program. Students will see a short video about dental health and those with permission will sit in a dentist’s chair and have their teeth counted and checked. This is noninvasive and designed to teach kids to no be scared at the dentist. In order to participate, you must fill out the attached form. You can download and fill out the form on a computer and bring it in or email it to [email protected] and we will print it out for you. We also have hard copies that you can request and fill out. Only students with signed permission forms can participate. We have done this for many years and the kids love it. They will even get a free gift for participating. Here is the link to the forms. I will also send you the link separately as sometimes links in my weekly letter are not clickable. I hope you allow your child to participate. For many kids who have never been to the dentist, this program serves to be a fun first time in the dentist chair making future dental visits a lot easier.

TAX REPORTS: Many of you have asked about printing year end tax statements. You can do this in your Brightwheel Account. Here is a link to a short video that teaches you how to do it. In case you cannot find out tax id number it is 20-2800-519.

There is still space available on the Jungle Gym for the Saturday 1/28 class. Please sign up on the front bulletin board if you are interested. The cost is $10. Please be aware that since only 15 kids are able to sign up for each class, if you do not attend and have signed up, we will need to bill your account.
For all kids who are new to our school or missed their fall photos, the make up day will be on Tuesday, January 21st. Please wear your school uniform or any other clothing that ARE NOT GREEN as photos are taken on a green screen. You will get a link to the proofs and can choose from many background.
Finally, the Girl Scouts were at our school today selling cookies. They also delivered any pre orders. If you did not get your preorder, please ask for them on Monday. We will gladly bill your account. They will also have a table set up the next 2 Fridays from 4:00-5:30. You can also still place an order on the front board and it will be filled for you.
