Welcome to this month's Caring Palms Healing Arts newsletter. This month, we have a couple articles for you and some news.

Closed Thanksgiving Week
Caring Palms will be closed Thanksgiving week, Tuesday November 21st through Saturday, November, 25th. Caring Palms will be available for sessions Tuesday November 28th at the regular hours.
We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.

Reiki 3 Upcoming
There is one more class scheduled for this year, a Reiki 3 set for December 2nd (Saturday). Caring Palms has contracted with the hotel for this date, but they are a bit nervous as we’ve had to cancel the last two classes there. They are looking at it being the holidays and the conference room will probably book up quickly. They are looking for Caring Palms to give them a hard commitment SOON. If this class is cancelled, we may need to look for another venue.
This means that we can not wait until the week before to see if no one signs up. If you are interested, in this class, SIGN UP NOW. If we do not have a minimum of four in the next couple of weeks, this class will be cancelled so the hotel does not lose money by turning away other renters.
There is a possibility of a Reiki 4 class that could be held at someone’s house, but you must complete Reiki 3 first. So if you are interested, sign up now as we do not know when the next class will be available.

Going Through Hard times

It is rough out there right now. Prices are way out of control. I went into a Taco Bell and was shocked to find that the price of six regular tacos and two drinks was $17. There is a meme going around the internet that says… “Black Friday retailers… We all have big screen TVs. Put food on sale!”
When it comes down to basic necessities, all things that are considered non-essential or extravagant get pushed to the side. This includes healthcare, health maintenance, and general healing. Unfortunately, that hurts you as well as your local healers, who are also going through these rough times. They are also having to afford basic necessities, pay bills, make rent. And many of them are not raising their prices. When you stop visiting them, they fail to meet the goals they need to keep them in business.
So please, take care of yourselves, and in turn help your healers so they will still be there when this crisis is over.

Waiting for the Other Shoe

Why do we always seem to be waiting for the other shoe to drop? Now before I go further, I feel I must explain the saying…
This came from apartment living. Say you are in bed, falling asleep when your neighbor living above you comes home and decides to go to bed. They take off one shoe and drop it on the floor, and you hear a thump. Now you’re laying there knowing that another thump is coming before you can get to sleep. Yes, you are waiting for the other shoe to drop.
It seems like we go through life waiting on the other shoe, waiting for something to come along and change things. This could be waiting for something to complete something, or to change things drastically. Usually, it seems to be the latter.
Why is it when things are going right, we keep expecting something to come along and change that?
“Wow, I’m going through a really good time right now. I wonder when the bottom will fall out.” Not only do we ride the roller coaster with its ups and downs, we expect to. And while there should be balance, do the highs and lows of balance really need to be so extreme?
What if that by expecting good times to change into bad times, we are actually making it happen? What we think does change our perception, and that can change how things go in the physical environment. This goes back to drawing to you what you put the most energy into.
Why can’t we just accept that when things are going good, that they simply are? Why expect things to change for the worse? Maybe they will change for the better, of course they won’t if you keep expecting the worst.
So when things are going good, just accept that. Quit looking for that change. If it happens, it does. And then you accept that. Stop looking for that other shoe. Maybe the person upstairs only has one leg.

Caring Palms schedules Reiki classes throughout the year. Because we can not hold them at the studio as we have in the past, we are holding them at another location, and this incurs additional cost. Therefore, we are not scheduling as many classes as we used to. We are also holding classes for a minimum 4 or more students. We also need to let the class site know a week before the class date whether we will be having it or not. So, if you are interested, sign up early.
The following is a list of currently scheduled Reiki Classes. Each class (unless otherwise marked) currently has a status of 'Scheduled'. This means that a date has been set, but no one has signed up for it yet. Once a deposit has been received for a class, the status will be 'Confirmed'. Any class marked as 'Closed' has filled up. (Note: In some cases, one may be able to enter a class marked 'Closed' with permission of the instructor.) Because we are renting the location per use, each class requires a minimum of four (4) students to happen.
You may sign up for any of these through the website, or over the phone with a credit card.

More classes will be added based on how the ones currently on the schedule go.
All classes are open to anyone wanting to learn this unique method of hands-on healing. The cost for each class is $150 no matter what level of Reiki the class is for. A $75 deposit is required a minimum of seven (7) days prior to the class date (or permission of the instructor) to reserve a space in the class. Full payment must be received two (2) days before the class date. Classes with no deposits received by the cut off date will be canceled. All class statuses may be viewed under Reiki, Reiki Class Information, and Class Schedule. You can also sign up for classes there. (Check the website for the location.)
Reiki 1, 2, and 3 classes are Florida Board of Massage Approved for six (6) Continuing Education Hours (CEUs)

If you have enjoyed the services at Caring Palms, whether that be massage, Reiki, or classes, or something else, please leave a review on one of the review sites like Google, Facebook, or any of the many places that take reviews. Lately, it has been these reviews that have been bringing new clients into the studio, and all have been glad they found us.
Anyone leaving a review will be entered into the monthly drawing to win a free session (massage or Reiki). Reviews made between the first and last day of each month will go into the drawing, and the winner will be pulled on the first of every month. Note: We are asking people not to post on Yelp unless you are a person that posts there regularly. Yelp has some qualifying software that looks at each review, and if you are a regular poster, your comment is deemed "Relevant", otherwise your comment is marked "Not Relevant". While Caring Palms has 20 5-star reviews on Yelp, only seven of them are deemed "Relevant", and one has to go through another step to see the remaining 13.

Brian is now doing readings to anyone that wants to sit for one for $50 for up to one hour. Keep in mind, these are mediumship readings, not psychic readings.
