Update from the Executive Director

Dear AmCham,

Congratulations to Diversatek Vietnam on the Grand Opening of its new manufacturing facility and 15th Anniversary! The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Consul General Susan Burns, President & CEO Margaret W. Vierling, and Vice President Jonathan Moreno. As a valued AmCham member, Diversatek’s growth and innovation continue to thrive. This milestone strengthens its global distribution of high-quality medical devices, contributing to both Vietnam and the U.S. economies. From a single product line to a diverse range of devices, Diversatek's success is a testament to its commitment to excellence.

It was my pleasure to join the Danang City Partnership Forum - Da Nang 2025 (Meet Da Nang 2025) themed "Convergence and Spread" on January 17. Representatives of localities, experts, and international organizations discussed strengthening cooperation and international integration towards sustainable development.

On January 12, 2025, AmCham was delighted to attend the world record celebration and epic show of our Diamond Member Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam. They hosted a series of events for “Unleashing the Magic: Comprehensive Tet Celebrations,” which included a busy Tet market, several Tet activities, and a huge mega-concert.

Thank you to our Bronze Member Russin & Vecchi for partnering with the AmCham ESG Committee to host a workshop on greenhouse gas reporting and emissions reduction on January 16 at Rex Hotel HCMC. Special thanks to our speakers: Ms. Lam Nguyen Hoang Thao from Russin & Vecchi, Mr. Nguyen Vo Truong An from the Carbon Credit Transaction Platform ASEAN, and Ms. Nguyen Phuc Minh Duong from TÜV Rheinland Vietnam, for sharing their expertise.

The workshop emphasized the importance of transparency in emissions data, collaboration with suppliers, and using accurate information to support Vietnam’s 2050 net-zero goals. With the March 2025 inventory deadline approaching, businesses were urged to act early and explore green financing opportunities. The session also highlighted the need for sustainability-linked bonds and third-party audits to ensure accurate emissions reporting, encouraging companies to prioritize long-term sustainability alongside innovation.
