Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church

Crosstown is welcoming a 3rd congregation to our building! Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church (MBC) is a historic African-American congregation that has sold their facility. Their time at Crosstown will be for a “season” of time as they seek a new location. On Sundays, Bethesda will be in our Sanctuary from Noon - 3 pm with Verbo en Accion following. Our rationale for pursuing this friendship is twofold. #1, we want to advance Jesus’ kingdom. One question we can ask, “What might Jesus want to teach us through welcoming Bethesda?” #2, we’ve been pursuing a goal of $60k in outside revenue / year. This is the amount it costs to operate our building. With the welcome of Bethesda, we have achieved this goal. Our hope and desire is to have a combined worship gathering with Bethesda in the near future. Picture above includes: Pastor Juan Ovando of Verbo en Accion, Pastor John, Pastor Arthur Agnew of Bethesda.

phCheck @ Crosstown

Crosstown’s Checkup! As physicals are essential for good health, congregations need regular checkups as well. The Covenant’s pH Checkup is an online survey that provides a comprehensive health assessment of our congregation. In our next issue, you’ll be invited to participate in this adventure by responding to this inventory. Let’s partner together as we seek to discern the next steps that the Holy Spirit has for Crosstown!
